Keeping It Clean
Let’s get this out there now… The “C” word has changed life dramatically in the past few years. Cleaning and safety are on the forefront of everyone’s minds in ways it hasn’t been in the past. I wanted to share with you a few safety and cleaning measures I have in place to keep everyone as safe as possible!
PPE… When styling your hair or applying makeup, social distancing is obviously not possible. I will be masked while creating your look. I also realize that many brides might not want to remember the craziness of this time in their wedding pictures, so I am happy to remove the mask for some getting ready pictures if asked.
Cleaning… It’s so important to have clean makeup and brushes! All of my brushes are cleaned after each event, in addition to disinfecting everything with 70% isopropyl alcohol. (This water content allows a slow enough evaporation to kill any bacteria.)
During an event… new makeup brushes are used for every client whenever possible. If brushes need to be used more than once, they will be cleaned between clients. Makeup and tools are disinfected with 70% isopropyl alcohol between clients, and lipstick or liquid makeup is removed from its container and applied with a brush or single-use sponge.
This is a snapshot of the measures I am currently (as of Jan. 2022) taking. If you have any additional questions or special requests for your event, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
With joy,
