Hannah’s September Wedding

Oh my goodness, where to even start?!

Let’s start here: Hannah is one of the most beautiful people you will ever meet, inside and out. I was so honored to be asked to be a part of her wedding day.

One of the most important things to me when preparing for a wedding is getting to know the bride. During Hannah’s makeup and hair trial, we sat down and talked about a wide range of subjects. From what made her feel beautiful (not as it related to hair and makeup), to what made her feel confident (again, not related to hair and makeup), the insight from our conversation helped me know more of what she was hoping for on her wedding day.

Hannah’s hair is a stunning strawberry blonde, and we landed on a braided style with baby’s breath tucked throughout that displayed the natural highlights in her hair and added a sense of timelessness and whimsy. A little space was created for a very special veil to nestle, yet didn’t look empty without the veil after the ceremony.

Makeup isn’t something Hannah wears a lot of day to day. The most important thing to me is that brides feel like themselves! We kept Hannah’s look fairly natural, yet elevated. Soft colors highlighted her eyes, and a touch more eyeliner and blush than she’s used to created a stunning look and translated well in pictures. Her lips were kept close to her natural color, and waterproof mascara withstood the emotion of the day!

Hannah is timeless, passionate, classic, relaxed, confident, unfussy, and filled with love and joy that overflows. Capturing that in her bridal look was so important to me, and I’m so thankful I was a part of her wedding day!
